Who is eligible
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
- Be a national of Egypt
- Be classified as ‘overseas’ for fee purposes
- Be taking up a place on a full time Masters degree, starting September 2026
Who isn’t eligible
You are not eligible for this scholarship if your tuition fees are fully sponsored You are not eligible for this scholarship if you are going to study any of the following:
- Certificates and Diplomas (including PGCE)
- Courses at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS)
- MSc Climate Change, Development and Policy
- MA Development Studies
- MA Food and Development
- MA Gender and Development
- MA Globalisation, Business and Development
- MA Governance, Development and Public Policy
- MA Poverty, Policy and Development Practice
- MA Power, Participation and Social Change
- Degrees in Social work (if receiving an NHS bursary)
- Online courses
- Schools direct teaching courses
- Masters funded by the research councils (e.g. ESRC 1+3 funding)

The scholarship is applied automatically if you meet the eligibility criteria. If this changes at any time, the scholarship will be removed. Confirmation of the scholarship will be sent after you receive an offer of a place to study at Sussex and information about the scholarship will be included in your CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) for your visa application. If the scholarship information is not showing on your CAS, please contact the Admissions Office.
