Bachelor Honours Programme

The Bachelor Honours Programme is an extracurricular broadening programme of 30 EC, designed for ambitious and motivated bachelor students who want to distinguish themselves. The programme starts every year in February and is aimed at ambitious students.

Programme Structure

The programme consists of 6 modules, each lasting 5 EC. Students participate in one of the 5 multidisciplinary tracks, where they are encouraged to develop themselves in a setting comprised of passionate teachers and a diverse community of peers. Every track consists of six courses, with lectures taking place on Monday and Wednesday evenings (18:15 - 20:00).

Programme Details

• The average workload of partaking in the programme is about 10-14 hours per week.
• Students who successfully complete the Bachelor Honours programme receive the Honours Certificate and Honours Pin.
• All Honours courses are also added to the student's Bachelor study transcript.
• The programme is worth 30 EC, meaning that it is a significant increase in workload on top of a regular Bachelor programme.

Tracks and Courses

The programme offers 5 multidisciplinary tracks, each with its own set of courses. The tracks are designed to challenge students to enrich their knowledge, skills, attitude, cooperation, and experiences outside their own study discipline.

• The Honours Community is an active and diverse group of students, teachers, and researchers.
• The programme includes dedicated Bachelor Honours Plenary Sessions, where all Honours students can meet and interact with one another.
• There are also various events and activities, such as the Honours Association Ockham, Dutch Honours Conference, 4TU Honours Challenge, and Plenary Sessions.
