Biomedical Imaging and Informatics Program Overview
The Biomedical Imaging and Informatics program focuses on optical biomedical imaging & spectroscopy, fMRI, Computer-aided diagnosis, bioinformatics, health informatics, and telemedicine.

- Developing label-free high-throughput 3D image cytometry systems for stem cell identification and sorting during differentiation, circulating tumor cell enrichment, and nucleus mechanics assays
- Building highly sensitive interferometric microscopes for mapping neural-network activities and cell migration
- Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) technologies for ophthalmology, intraluminal imaging, and intra-operative applications
- Advanced Endomicroscopy and Computational Optics for translational biomedical imaging
- Machine Learning for advanced biomedical imaging functions and quantitative image analysis
- Learning Deep Representation with Large-scale Attributes, DeepID-Net, Joint Deep Learning for Pedestrian Detection, Multi-task Recurrent Neural Network for Immediacy Prediction, and more
