Intelligent Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANET)

The Intelligent Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANET) program is a research area that has been gaining significant attention in recent years. VANET is a special case of Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) and is a key part of the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) framework. The program focuses on Vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication in VANET, which has emerged as a crucial component in both advanced ITS and Internet of Things (IoT) for information transmission and vehicular communication.

Project Details

The project has great potential to work closely with industrial collaborators, such as national highways. It will utilize an open-source simulation platform and explore the use of intelligent algorithms in VANET caching, routing, and congestion control. Distinction results can potentially attract industry-related funding.

Tuition Fees for Entry

• UK fee: £5,006 Full-time degree per annum
• International fee: £28,600 Full-time degree per annum

Fees for the academic year apply to projects starting in October 2025, January 2026, April 2026, and July 2026.
