Global Positioning Systems

Overview

Examine GPS applications, with emphasis on operating fundamentals, absolute and differential techniques, types of signals, considerations related to GPS data, satellite systems (GNSS) and future trends. GPS receiver NOT required.

Admission Requirements

You may enroll in a Continuing Education course at Canadore College if you are 19 years of age or older or if you have earned an Ontario Secondary School Diploma/Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma or equivalent.

What You Need

The required program for INFOCV630 is ArcGIS Pro, which is available for download at no additional cost through the course. ArcGIS Pro can only be installed on Windows-based computers.

Most college level courses require textbooks; textbooks are not included in the course fees. It is the student’s responsibility to purchase any required textbooks.
