Course Essentials

Our Psychology BSc degree course is taught by a dedicated teaching team who were recruited to teach and develop this programme and draws upon the established expertise of the IoPPN, the NHS and a wide range of world-leading researchers and practitioners across King’s, from neuroscience to the social sciences, to introduce you to a variety of approaches to the application of psychological science. Designed to reflect the role of psychology within interdisciplinary research, the course asks you to apply insights from this research to a variety of contemporary problems. You will be required to develop your analytic, critical thinking and problem-solving skills along with your core scientific knowledge. We will use a delivery method that will ensure students have a rich, exciting experience from the start. Face to face teaching will be complemented and supported with innovative technology so that students also experience elements of digital learning and assessment.

Special Features

• Optional study abroad: On this programme, you will have the opportunity to apply to study abroad, supported by the Study Abroad Tutor in your department and King’s Global Mobility Office. Together with partner organisations around the world, you will be supported in navigating your international, educational journey, developing new skills and competences and learning to apply different perspectives to your chosen discipline.
• Optional year in industry: On this programme, you’ll spend your third year in a full-time year in industry or year in professional practice placement. Our Global Placements team will support you throughout your programme with advice and activities to help you discover your options, focus your placement search and take action to achieve the right placement for you.

Psychology graduates have many opportunities based on their wide-ranging knowledge of human behaviour and how the mind works.

A Psychology degree provides graduates with a broad skill set including data analysis, problem solving, scientific and statistical literacy and effective communication.

• The International tuition fee for the academic year is £40,000 per year.
