Human Resources - Kandidatprogram

The Human Resources Kandidatprogram is a three-year program that provides students with a deep understanding of how work life is shaped and how they can contribute to creating and developing sustainable and inclusive workplaces.

Om programmet

The program gives students knowledge about how people, organizations, and societies interact in working life. Students learn about organization, leadership, individual and group learning, work environment, laws surrounding working life, and personnel economics. The program also trains students to think critically, solve problems, and work strategically.

Under utbildningen

The education consists of lectures, seminars, group work, and practical exercises. Students work with real-life cases and conduct investigations in actual organizations. During the last semester, students can choose to do an internship or take elective courses in Sweden or as exchange studies abroad.

Vðlj din inriktning

During the second and third years of the program, students deepen their knowledge in one of three main areas. The choice affects which courses students take and which subject they write their thesis in.

• Sociologi: Students explore how people interact in working life and how organizations are shaped by social and global changes. They gain an understanding of leadership, learning, and how working life is affected by social structures and power relationships.
• Psykologi: Students learn how people think, feel, and act in different situations. The focus is on individual development, motivation, and interaction knowledge that is central to understanding behaviors in the workplace.
• Handelsrðtt: Students gain in-depth knowledge of labor law in both the private and public sectors. They learn how laws and agreements govern working life and train to work with negotiations, collective agreements, and legal issues in a changing labor market.

Karriðr och framtid

After graduation, students can work with HR issues in companies, authorities, municipalities, trade unions, or as consultants. Possible job roles include:

Students can also continue their studies at an advanced level on a master's program in HR or their main subject.

F—rutsðttningar

The program is free of charge for citizens of EU/EEA countries and Switzerland. Students from outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland must pay tuition fees, which total 375,000 SEK for the entire program. An application fee of 900 SEK is also required when applying through UniversityAdmissions.se.
