Introduction to the Master's Programme in Architecture

The Master's Programme in Architecture at Lund University is a 2-year, 120-credit programme that explores how architectural design can address contemporary societal challenges. In the third semester, students specialise in one of five tracks:

  • Cultural Heritage Buildings
  • Sustainable Urban Dynamics
  • Spatial Experiments The final semester is dedicated to the degree project, where students develop a comprehensive architectural solution to a real-world challenge.

Requirements and Selection

Prerequisites for the programme include:


  • A Bachelor's degree in architecture
  • A digital portfolio of the applicant's own work in the field that clearly proves the applicant has good potential to benefit from the programme
  • English 6 The selection is based on the submitted portfolio and a statement of purpose.

Tuition Fees

Tuition fees for non-EU/EEA citizens are SEK 540,000 for the full programme, with the first payment being SEK 135,000. There are no tuition fees for citizens of the EU, EEA, and Switzerland.
