About this Opportunity

The Graduate Teaching Fellowships (GTF) are available for full-time PhD students in Economics. As a GTF, you will pursue your PhD research while gaining experience as a higher education teacher. In the first year, you will complete a short teacher training program and gain a formal HE teaching qualification. You will also learn key pedagogical skills for the academic job market through shadowing and mentored classroom involvement.

Who is this For?

To be eligible for this opportunity, you will need a UK master's degree or international equivalent in Economics or a related discipline, preferably at merit or above. You should also have demonstrable quantitative and programming skills. A strong research proposal is required, and you should submit a proposal in areas including, but not limited to:

• Microeconomics theory
• Applied microeconomics
• Macroeconomics
• Econometrics and financial econometrics
• Political economy
• Industrial organisation
• Sports economics
