Description
This module is designed to complement and support the overall pedagogical approach of Design for Manufacturing, focusing on building foundational fluency with manufacturing strategies. It aims to develop technical competency and tacit knowledge, enabling students to produce and think about design, theory, and practice across various manufacturing tools and contexts. The module involves a variety of teaching and learning strategies, including workshops that cater to all skill levels, individual and group work, and weekly feedback opportunities. The course structure progresses from covering essential skills, tool use, and material knowledge in the first term to focused workshops in advanced manufacturing techniques in the second term.
