Program Overview
This program is designed to provide students with a firm foundation in probability, statistics, and computer science. The first year is tailored to give all students a strong base in these subjects, while deepening the knowledge and understanding of those with some previous exposure to the subject areas. The second and third years build on this foundation through further compulsory modules on core topics in probability theory, statistical inference, and algorithms.
Entry Requirements
- A levels: Grades AAA, with A in Mathematics required. Further Mathematics is preferred. If studying both, the A* can be in either subject. Other preferred subjects include Chemistry, Economics, Physics, and Statistics.
- GCSEs: English Language and Mathematics at grade C or 4.
- IB Diploma: A total of 39 points, with 19 points in three higher-level subjects, including grade 7 in Mathematics. No higher-level score should be below 5.
- Contextual offer: A*BB for A levels, with specific requirements similar to the standard offer. For IB Diploma, 36 points with 17 points in three higher-level subjects, including grade 7 in Mathematics.
- Other UK qualifications: Access to HE Diploma, BTEC National Diploma, Cambridge Pre-U, Scottish Advanced Highers, and UAL Extended Diploma are considered with specific requirements for each.
Tuition Fees

Teaching and Learning

Most modules are assessed primarily by examination, with some in-class tests, take-home papers, or coursework. A few modules are assessed exclusively by coursework, and many include group work. The final year includes a research project.
