Introduction to the Summer Scientific Camp

The SŠntha KŠlmŠn Szakkollťgium is organizing a two-week Summer Scientific Camp from June 30 to July 12, 2025, at the University of Debrecen. The camp is open to students who are interested in sciences, excel in biology and chemistry/physics, and plan to pursue a career in general medicine, dentistry, or pharmacy.

Objective of the Summer Scientific Camp

The primary objective of the camp is to provide students with an insight into the operations of the University of Debrecen's Faculty of General Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry, and Faculty of Pharmacy. During the camp, students will have the opportunity to participate in theoretical lectures, practical exercises, and research projects under the guidance of personal tutors.

Program Structure

The first two days of the camp will feature joint theoretical lectures and practical exercises. Subsequently, students will be assigned to different institutes where they will work under the guidance of their tutors. In the afternoons and evenings, various community programs and practical professional programs will be organized for the students. The camp will conclude with a mini-conference featuring presentations by the students.

Participation and Benefits

Participation in the camp is free of charge. Additionally, all participants will be provided with lunch, and non-Debrecen students will also receive breakfast and accommodation. The camp will only have scheduled programs on weekdays.

Admission Criteria

The Szakkollťgium's leadership will select 30 students from the applicants based on their performance in biology and chemistry/physics. The selected students will be notified via email by May 31.

Requirements for Applicants

Applicants must be students who are completing their studies in September and are interested in pursuing a career in general medicine, dentistry, or pharmacy. They must also excel in biology and chemistry/physics.
